  • The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, invited a local meteorologist to come and speak about how he used satellite imagery to forecast the weather.
  • The University of Iowa Museum in Cedar Fall, IA, held a contest they called "Iowa Close Up." Museum Responses

  • "The companion pieces [for Earth from Space] allowed us to send samples to all the area schools and community groups. We were able to start scheduling field trips and special group visits before the exhibit ever arrived." — John Spranza, Georgia Highlands College
  • "We loved this exhibition. Having the exhibit here was great for both our students and community."— John Spranza, Georgia Highlands College
  • "It was wonderful to see the interaction between children and their parents and grandparents as they went through the exhibit. The exhibition really appealed to all ages and provided an ideal opportunity for many to view and explain the science behind the images."—Amy Rupert, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
  • "This exhibition was timeless. One great selling point was the remarkable clarity of the photographs. The teacher's guide was also great, and it was still useful after the exhibit. The labels and panels were superbly written. Too many exhibitions nowadays have labels that you can't read with the upper half of your bifocals!" —Bruce A. Bleakley, Frontiers of Flight Museum
