Programming Ideas

  • The University of Northern Iowa Museums held several successful programs: A family "Bat Day," a tropical treats reception (with products
    from the rainforests), a tropical birds presentation, a presentation about the history of the Panama Canal, the "A-Z Institute: E Day, Exploring Ecosystems, and an eco-tourism presentation.
  • The Spartanburg County Public Libraries hosted naturalist and University of South Carolina professor (School of the Environment) Rudy Mancke, who discussed the concept of an ecosystem using the exhibit as a starting point. A guided tour of Hatcher Garden & Woodland Preserved followed.
