Wondrous Cold: An Antarctic Journey

Programming Ideas

  • The Teton County Library in Jackson, WY, held several lectures in conjunction with the exhibition. Researcher Donna Patterson-Fraser discussed Antarctic birds and humans' affects on these species. Fraser brought in bird bones, nests, and even cold-weather gear that is issued
    to
    Americans working in Antarctica.
  • The Teton County Library also brought in local residents who had first-hand accounts of their experiences "on the ice."
