- Application must be submitted electronically in MS Word format to sitesgrants@si.edu with "Application" as the subject heading.
- There are three grant cycles per year, and grant applications must be received by 5 pm EST on the 1st day of April, August, and December 2006, 2007, and 2008. Notification of award will occur within 30 days.
- Applications must be completed in MS Word using a 12-point font (Times or similar) and one-inch margins on all sides; pages should be numbered.
APPLICATION
AWARDS
Under this new program, eligible SITES exhibitors may apply for up to $5,000 for expenses related to public, educational programming produced in conjunction with a SITES exhibit. Exhibitors may choose to enhance current program offerings or to create a new program especially suited to the topic of the exhibition.
AFTER RECEIVING A GRANT
Exhibitors chosen for a grant will be required to assess the selected program and submit a close-out report. Grantees will receive a close-out form which they must complete and return to SITES within one month of the sponsored event. Exhibitors will be required to report on event attendance, visitor demographics, visitor comments, press coverage, methods for evaluation, lessons learned, and successes. They will also be asked to provide at least five copies of all publications and promotional materials produced with their award (invitations, flyers, print advertisements, etc.). SITES anticipates using submitted material and feedback on our website and in related publications.
