Muppets™, Music & Magic explores all facets of Jim Henson’s creative legacy, including both beloved old favorites and rarely seen projects. The series is scheduled in conjunction with the Smithsonian’s new exhibit, “Jim Henson’s Fantastic World,” on display from July 2 to October 5 at the Ripley Center (International Gallery), and produced by The Jim Henson Legacy and Brooklyn Academy of Music. The tour’s Executive Producer is Irena Kovarova.

Hosted by noted Muppet expert Craig Shemin.
Authority on all things Muppet, Craig Shemin is the producer of the documentary that screens with the Smithsonian Institution touring museum exhibition entitled “Jim Henson’s Fantastic Worlds.” He was on the staff of the Jim Henson Company, creators of the Muppets, for 14 years.  During that time he was a writer on programs including Telling Stories with Tomie DePaola, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, Donna’s Day and Jim Henson's Dog City.  Shemin also wrote several Muppet CD-ROMs and assisted Miss Piggy with her cookbook.  Shemin also authored Fraggle Rock Storytime, a six-episode radio series for children, and the book and cassette set entitled Inside Fraggle Rock. In addition, he wrote the liner notes for Rhino Records’ Muppet anthology CD as well as liner notes and content for earlier Muppet product.  Shemin also consulted on the development of new Muppet productions and licensed products. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Jim Henson Legacy.
