Beyond: Visions of Planetary Landscapes
Mare Orientale, a 200-mile-wide impact crater on the moon, is one of the largest in the solar system. The outermost circle, about 560 miles in diameter, is the Cordillera Mountain scarp, a line of cliffs, three and a half miles high.
