Covered Bridges: Spanning the American Landscape

Bath-Haverhill Bridge (1829), Woodsville, Grafton County, New Hampshire

The Bath-Haverhill Bridge is one of the oldest extant covered bridges in the U.S. and a testament to the value of covering timber bridges. With periodic replacement of roof and siding, this structure is still standing almost 180 years after its construction.
