Doodles, Drafts, and Designs: Industrial Drawings from the SmithsonianPresentation drawing
for accessible snowboard, 1996 In 1996, college students
Matt Capozzi and Nathan Connolly began designing an accessible snowboard
to share their love of the sport with disabled athletes. The seating assembly,
an elevated platform above the board itself, allows a person with a lower
body disability to snowboard with minimal assistance. |
